Directions in text (recommended route from the North):

1. Take the Ben Schoeman highway (M1) to Johannesburg
2. Take the Empire Road off-ramp
3. At the T-junction at the end of the off-ramp, turn right into Empire road
4. Move to the left-hand lane
5. Just before the traffic lights, take the slip-road to the left and turn left into Yale Road
6. Pass through WITS Traffic Control - tell them you are going to the Planetarium
7. Drive past the Planetarium on your left, and turn left at the circle onto East Campus
8. Take the next turn left and proceed down to the Planetarium.

Directions in text (recommended route from the South):

1. Take the M1 to Johannesburg
2. Take the Smit Street off-ramp and turn left into Smit Street
3. Take the first left into Eendracht Street
4. Drive up to the first set of traffic lights and turn left into De Korte Street
5. Move to the right-hand lane
6. Pass straight through the traffic lights into Yale Road
7. Pass through WITS Traffic Control - tell them that you are going to the Planetarium
8. Pass through the Amic Deck traffic lights
9. Turn right onto East Campus at the circle
10. Take the first left turn, which will take you down to the Planetarium.
